Snickerdoodle Bars
Snickerdoodle bars are fast to make and disappear quickly.
Ingredients
Dough
- 4 2/3 cups Goody Mix
- 1 cup butter , softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 T . vanilla extract
- 2 T . water or molasses (opt.*see below)
Topping
- 2 T . sugar
- 1 tsp . cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp . nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13? baking pan.
- Pour Goody Mix into mixer bowl and add liquid ingredients.
- Mix for 2 minutes on low to medium speed. Dough should be thick but not crumbly. Add up to 1 more tablespoon of water, a tsp. at a time if needed.
- Pat dough evenly into prepared pan.
- Combine topping ingredients in a small bowl; sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the dough.
- Bake 20-23 minutes. Bars will be golden brown Cool before cutting.
Notes
*Use molasses in these to add a caramel undertone or use water for a more traditional Snickerdoodle flavor.
