Keto Chocolate Ganache Frosting is the answer to a lot of questions. Questions like:

You probably have plenty of chocolate questions of your own, so I’ll stop. But you get me, right?
So this recipe came about because of the first question above, about the cupcakes. The cupcakes were out of the oven and cooled, but I just wasn’t sure what to top them with.
I decided to attempt a small batch of chocolate ganache frosting. It was easy, because, well, ganache is very simple.
My friends and family who have tested the cupcakes and low carb chocolate ganache frosting were delighted with the result. I hope you will be too.
There are just 4 ingredients: Butter, cream, sweetener (I used powdered Swerve), 72% chocolate.
As you can see the chocolate I use is a Ghiradelli’s Twilight 72% chocolate square. This batch is just enough to top 4 cupcakes. You can always double or triple it to make a larger batch.
So Easy to Make
You place it in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then stir it. It made or may not need a few more seconds in the microwave, but if it is scorched, it will be unusable.
After all the chocolate mixture has melted and been stirred to combine it, add the sweetener. After you add the sweetener, just keep stirring it and it will become smooth and glossy. (See below).
While the frosting is still warm, dollop onto the cupcakes (or whatever you’re using it on) and the frosting will slowly spread over the top.
(Please note: This frosting isn’t meant to be spread, but to gently flood the area it’s placed on.)
Allow cupcakes to rest until frosting is set. -If you can wait that long!

Ingredients
- 1 square Ghiradelli’s Twilight 72% Chocolate or 1 tblsp other 72% chocolate
- 1 Tblsp heavy cream
- 1 Tblsp butter
- 3 Tblsp powdered Swerve Sweetener or other pourable cup for cup sweetener
Instructions
- in a small microwave-proof bowl place the chocolate butter and cream.
- Microwave on high 20 seconds. Remove mixture from microwave and stir. If it’s not fully melted microwave in 10 second intervals until melted. Do not over cook or the chocolate will scorch.
- When melted, stir in the sweetener and continue stirring till mixture is smooth and glossy. Use as desired.
